ARI manufacturers a complete line of unique air release, and air/vaccuum valves. Unlike other air release valves that are heavy, operate poorly, and require a great deal of maintenance, ARI is designed to perform.
ARI manufactures several valves for municipal wastewater systems including the D-025 model shown above. Unlike traditional valves, ARI offers all their valves with Vacuum protection. In addition, they are made out of superior materials. Instead of a corrosive heavy material like cast iron, ARI uses either 316 stainless steel, or nylon reinforced fiberglass to make the body. In addition, the valves are available female threaded (yes , no galvanized nipples necessary) that connect directly to the shut off valve. Flanged models are also available.
The inner workings of the valve are simple, and once again are made of corrosion resistant materials, 316 stainless, epdm rubber, and polypropylene. The above 2" model is the short body air/vac, made out of Nylon reinforced fiberglass. It has a burst of 1,400 psi, and weighs only 7 pounds. No need for bracketing to hold the valve in place.

The ARI D-020 valve is ideal for high pressure situations, including large pump stations, and has working pressures of 3psi - 230psi. This valve is available in 316 stainless steel (enamel coated valve not available in US). The unique conical shape of both the D-020 and D-025 valves, allows the air pocket to be maintained between the water level and the working mechanisms. That means, no more vaults filled with sewage from "spitting valves".
The conical shape also allows the float much more room to operate, so that it will not get stuck on the side walls, and also allows solids to slide back into the line.

In addition to sewer valves, ARI also produces NSF approved air rlease valves for water. In fact, ARI is currently the only manufacturer of NSF approved a.r.v.'s The D-040 model shown above, is manufactured out of nylon reinforced fiberglass. A 2" valve works under operating pressures as low as 2 psi, and as high as 230 psi.
